About Flooring Seabrook

We are a flooring company that works inside homes around Seabrook and the bay side of the Houston area. We install new floors, from hardwood and tile to carpet and stair treads, and we tell you up front what a job will take.

Our way of working is simple. Look at the floor early, tell you plainly what it needs, write it all down and do the job the way the quote says. A lot of our customers call a year before they plan to start, just to know what they are saving toward. That is a good call to make.

Floors We Install

We put down hardwood flooring, luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile, laminate flooring, tile flooring, carpet installation, carpet tile, vinyl composition tile and stair flooring. Each one handles moisture, wear and pets differently, so we start with how you use the room. A kitchen that sees spills and a bedroom that sees socks need different answers. Pick a service below to read how we handle it.

Why People Plan Their Floors With Us

Most flooring calls come in after something has already gone wrong. We would rather meet you a season earlier, when you still have choices.

A plan you can split up

Not every room has to be done at once. We can lay out the whole house, then do the living areas this year and the bedrooms next, with matching material set aside so the floors line up later.

Quotes you can read

Your quote lists material, underlayment, removal of the old floor, subfloor prep, trim and transitions as separate lines. You can see where the money goes and decide what to trim.

We check what is underneath

Before we price anything, we look at the slab or subfloor, check for moisture and note any low spots. Finding a problem at the quote stage costs far less than finding it halfway through an install.

Covered while we work in your home

We are insured. That matters when a crew is moving furniture, cutting in your garage and working around your walls and cabinets for a few days.

Backed after we leave

We give a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. If a seam opens or a transition comes loose because of how we put it in, we come back and fix it.

How a Flooring Job Runs

Planning ahead mostly means fewer surprises on install day. This is the order we follow.

  1. 1

    Phone call and visit

You tell us which rooms and what is bothering you about the current floor. We set a time to come measure, check the subfloor and look at how the rooms connect.

  2. 2

    Quote and schedule

You get a written quote with each cost broken out. If the budget is tight, we suggest which rooms to do first and when the rest makes sense.

  3. 3

    Material delivery

Wood, laminate and some vinyl need to sit in your home for a few days so they adjust to the indoor air. We plan delivery around that so install day is not rushed.

  4. 4

    Install and cleanup

We protect cabinets and walls, remove the old floor, prep the subfloor and lay the new one. Trim goes back on, debris goes out and we walk the rooms with you before we leave.

What Moves the Price of a New Floor

Two homes with the same square footage can come out far apart. The material you choose is only part of it. Here is what we look at when we build your quote.

We measure, look at the subfloor and then hand you a quote written out line by line. If removal turns up something the visit could not show, you see it first and approve the fix before any extra work starts.

Material and grade
Solid hardwood, porcelain tile and thicker vinyl plank with a heavier wear layer cost more than laminate or basic carpet. We show you a few grades side by side so you can see what the extra money buys.
What has to come out
Pulling up carpet is quick. Breaking up old ceramic tile set in mortar takes much longer and makes more debris to haul away.
Subfloor and slab condition
Most homes here sit on concrete slabs. Cracks, high spots or moisture coming up through the slab need grinding, leveling or a vapor barrier before a new floor goes down.
Layout and cuts
Open rooms go fast. Hallways, closets, angled walls and herringbone or diagonal patterns mean more cuts and more waste material.
Stairs and transitions
Each stair tread and riser is fitted by hand, so stairs add time quickly. Doorways where two floor types meet need the right transition piece.

Questions We Hear Most

Something not covered here? (346) 676-8873

How far ahead should I plan a new floor?

A few months is comfortable. That gives time to pick material, see samples in your own light and let wood or laminate sit in the house before install. It also lets you pick a week that works around holidays or guests.

Can I do one part of the house now and the rest later?

Yes. We plan the whole layout so the floors flow, then do it in phases. When the material allows, we suggest buying extra boxes with the first phase so the color and lot match later.

Which floor holds up best to humidity?

Luxury vinyl plank, luxury vinyl tile and porcelain tile handle damp air and spills best. Hardwood and laminate can work well too, but they need a moisture check on the slab and the right underlayment. We test before we recommend anything.

Will you find problems under my old floor?

Sometimes. We check what we can at the visit. If we pull up the old floor and find a cracked slab or damaged subfloor, we stop, show you photos and explain the fix and its cost before going on.

Do I need to move my furniture?

Tell us when you call. We can talk through what needs to be cleared and how to handle large pieces. Small items, breakables and things in closets are best packed away before we arrive.

How long does an install take?

It depends on the rooms and the floor you pick. A single room of vinyl plank or carpet usually goes quickly. A whole house of tile, with old tile to break out and a slab to level, takes a good deal longer. We put the expected schedule on the quote so you can plan around it.

Do you offer a warranty?

Yes. We give a 1-year workmanship warranty on all installations. Product defects are covered by the manufacturer's own warranty, which we can explain when you choose a material.
